It is about helping you to navigate different challenges you may face in the process. To succeed we need to build long-term relationships with you and your family.
Free introductory session
We start by spending some time together so we can learn more about each other and see if we would be a good fit for each other. We want to learn about you, what are your goals, values, and concerns. What do you want to accomplish and how we can help you to reach your dreams? You also should be having a lot of questions. Please, bring as many questions as you can. Money may be a hard topic to talk about, and you need to be comfortable discussing your finances with your advisor. Together you will need to build productive relations. It is the best way for your advisor can help you.
This session is free. There are no obligations to move forward if you are not sure how our services can help you.
The introductory session can be face to face in our office in Irvine, California or online over a video conference software.
Once you decide to move forward, we will go through several sessions where we discuss different aspects of your financial strategy. We hope it will be both interesting and help you learn something new. We want you to be comfortable with your selected approach and have a good understanding of how it works. At the end of the day, this is your strategy, and you will need to live with it.
Putting it all together
Once we know what we need to do it is time to start putting it all together. There are some areas of implementation like investment management we can help you with. In some cases, we will be happy to coordinate with other professionals like your CPA, estate attorney, insurance agent or real estate broker. If you need help selecting one we would be glad to introduce you to our network of first-class professionals in these areas. In some cases, you will need to do the work yourself. We will help you with the information you need to do your homework.
As our lives move on your financial strategy is never going to be cast in stone. Sometimes it is just a simple question, and we can take care of with a simple phone call. Sometimes our lives take a turn and will need to see if your financial strategy need to be updated to reflect the new reality. Please make sure you give us a call when you are planning to adjust your course or have changes in your life. Let’s get together. At a minimum, we will need to get together once a year. It can be either in person or online, review what happened during the year, take a look at your goals and see if we need to make any changes.
We are fee-only advisors meaning we do not accept any commissions or other payments based on sales. This arrangement helps us to be on your side through the whole financial planning process and avoid conflicts of interest as much as possible.
For our financial planning services, we charge a one-time initial setup fee of $1,600 and an ongoing fee in the range between $2,400 and $9,600 a year. The amount depends on the complexity of your financial profile, the depth of services to be provided through the engagement, assets that comprise your overall portfolio, number of accounts you have, time involved, and other similar factors.
If we are helping you to implement the plan through our investment management program and receive asset management fees, we may discount or waive ongoing financial planning fee.
We work with several great asset managers who implement different investment strategies. Typically we charge asset management fee between 0.70% and 1.50% depending on the amount of asset we are managing for you and specific investment strategy selected based on your needs.
